Chelsea have decided against sacking Graham Potter so far, thanks to five internal reasons, despite the latest loss to Southampton at the weekend.
There's no way Potter could have expected to be in the position he finds himself when he decided to swap Brighton for west London back in September.
Despite huge amounts of money spent by the club, including a British record transfer fee for Enzo Fernandez, they find themselves 11 points short of the top four and only 11 points clear of the relegation zone.

The manager sees himself still looking up at his former side, who are four points and three places above them, it's no wonder some are calling for him to be sacked.
The 47-year-old has even been described by some as the 'worst manager' that the club has ever had, which seems pretty harsh on him.
Some want to see him given more time in the hot seat and it seems that the club's hierarchy, including owner Todd Boehly, feel the same.

According to the Telegraph, there's five reasons that are currently keeping him in the job, none of them are to do with results surprisingly.
First of all is work behind the scenes, with claims his decision not to start certain players against Southampton was to keep them fit and sacrificing his chances of playing a stronger team in order to look after the players was looked on favourably.
Potter had been criticised for not getting angry enough and being 'too nice,' however the club actually see that not to be the case.

Furthermore they actually like that he doesn't rant and rave at players or publicly criticise them, even in the recent period of failing to win any of their last five games.
They also like the fact that the manager showed 'bravery' by deciding to leave Brighton part way through a season to take over at Stamford Bridge.
Marcelo Bielsa refused to do similar for Everton recently, and the former Leeds United manager didn't have to leave a secure job, unlike Potter. The club are said to want to give him a preseason to really get his ideas across.
Boehly is reported to have accepted that there would be pain in his first season, with the squad not necessarily suited to Potter's style.

The signings in January are more to the manager's liking but he now has to integrate them, along with those who were already there, into a squad which is too big.
Finally, there is a belief at the club that they should allow the manager more time due to the example shown to them by Pep Guardiola at Manchester City.
The former Barcelona boss failed to win any silverware in his first season at the Etihad, and the new owner doesn't think changing the manager every six months will help earn success.
