Gerard Pique could accept a wage reduction which means he effectively won't receive a wage for the whole of the 2022/23 season.
That's according to The Athletic who claim Pique has informed Barcelona that he's willing to 'drastically reduce' his salary in order to help register their new summer signings.

It's been suggested that his reduction could be to the extent that he effectively does not receive a salary for the new season.
But Pique would pick up a salary during the final year of his contract in the 2023/24 season.
It's not the first time he's reduced his wages as he decreased his financial package last season to help Barca register Sergio Aguero, Memphis Depay and Eric Garcia.

The Catalan giants believe they will be able to register big summer signings Robert Lewandowski, Raphinha, Andreas Christensen and Franck Kessie as a result of Pique's gesture.
As for Jules Kounde, it is understood that his registration depends on salary reductions and squad sales, which means he's ineligible for the club's La Liga opener.
Barca's dire financial state continues to drag on ahead of their first game of the season on Saturday against Raya Vallecano.
