Gerard Pique has hit back at Shakira's diss track less than 24 hours after he and his new girlfriend were called out.
The celebrity power couple split after 11 years in June and the break-up has been very bitter and public.
Shakira aimed subtle digs at her former beau on Instagram and she went a step further on Thursday when she released a new song which contained a slew of lyrics about her ex lover.

The 45-year-old teamed up with Argentine producer Bizarrap for a new installment of 'Music Sessions and it racked up a ridiculous 88 million views on YouTube in two days.
Some of the brutal lyrics include: "'I'm too big for you, that's why you're with someone just like you,"
"This is for me to mortify you, chew and swallow so it doesn't sting, I won't return to you any more even if you cry or beg me.

"I understood that it's not my fault that they criticize you, I only make music, sorry that I splashed you.
"No hard feelings babe. I wish you good luck with my so-called replacement. I don't even know what happened, you're acting so weird I don't even recognise you.
But the big line from the song was a reference to Pique now dating 23-year-old Clara Chia Marti.
"I'm worth two 22-year-olds," Shakira sings.

"You traded a Ferrari for a Twingo. You traded a Rolex for a Casio."
And Pique addressed that very comment on a Twitch stream for his new 'Kings League' project, saying that Casio are now the sponsors for the seven-a-side competition.
"We reached an agreement with Casio in the Kings League to sponsor us. Casio is a great watch, it lasts a lifetime.”

Sergio Aguero, who is the president of one of the teams in the league, was also on the stream and replied, "Because of Shakira's song" after Gerard Romero asked "Why did the Casio come in?”.
Shakira and Pique are reportedly in the middle of a custody battle over their two sons Milan and Sasha.
