Former Aston Villa striker Gabby Agbonlahor has said that people owe Manchester City playmaker Jack Grealish an apology after the Englishman produced a player of the match display for City in their 4-1 win over Liverpool at the Etihad on Saturday afternoon in the Premier League.
The 27-year-old scored Pep Guardiola's side's fourth having assisted Julian Alvarez's equaliser following the game's opener from Liverpool's Mohamed Salah with Kevin De Bruyne and Ilkay Gündogan scoring the other two goals.
With four goals and five assists in 22 Premier League appearances, the Englishman looks much more like the player that convinced City to spend £100million in summer 2021 to lure him away from his boyhood club Aston Villa.

Although Grealish is yet to reach his goals tally for last season across all competitions, the winger looks much more comfortable in a City shirt this term having struggled to make a genuine impact at the Etihad last term.
These struggles saw the England international receive plenty of criticism, mainly due to his nine-figure price tag but Grealish is now proving his doubters wrong, with Agbonlahor insisting that it was the 27-year-old's best performance for the Cityzens to date.
"I thought Jack was outstanding," the former Villa favourite claimed on talkSPORT. "It was his best game in a Man. City shirt for sure.

"I think a lot of people out there owe him an apology. All the people that have phoned up saying he's not worth £100mil, he's not this and his not that, but other players who come from a different league or had a bit of time to get used to a new manager.
"Jack's had his time with Pep Guardiola, he's got used to the tactics and now he's putting in outstanding performances."
There is still plenty of football for Manchester City to play this season as they chase Arsenal for the Premier League title whilst also seeking glory in both the Champions League and FA Cup.

In fact, Guardiola's men could still play a maximum of 17 games before the end of the campaign, meaning that there will be plenty of opportunities for Grealish to continue his impressive form.
