Following reports that Christian Eriksen has rejected a move to Manchester United, former Liverpool man Jose Enrique has trolled the Red Devils on social media.
The Guardian reported that Eriksen has rejected a move to United, with the Dane said to be favouring a move to Tottenham or Brentford as the player is settled in London.
Eriksen is now available on a free transfer after leaving Brentford at the end of the 21/22 season and at just 30 years old, he feels he has plenty to offer at the very top level.
Eriksen could well be tempted with a return to Spurs after spending time at Inter Milan with Antonio Conte, the pair won the Serie A during their time working together in Italy.

After the news broke, former Liverpool full back Enrique wasted no time to rub salt into United wounds as he took to Twitter to troll the club.
He tweeted to his 228,800 followers: “Christian Eriksen has rejected Manchester United's offer and prefers to either stay with Brentford or join Tottenham,”
“Another player rejects a move to Man United this summer... Ata legooooooooooo.”
This is not the first time Enrique has made the headlines with his social media antics.

After the Reds’ triumph in the FA Cup, Enrique had a dig at Everton by posting a picture of Trent Alexander Arnold kissing the trophy with the caption: “Since Everton last won a trophy, Trent Alexander-Arnold was born, grew up, came through the youth team, signed a first-team contract for Liverpool and won every major trophy an English club can win.”
He also caused controversy after stating that United left back Luke Shaw looked ‘overweight’. Enrique tweeted: “Is just me or luke Shaw looks over weight?”
Unsurprisingly, United fans were not happy.

One replied: “As a footballer, knowing how mental health can affect people, why did you find it necessary to tweet this?
Embarrasing.”
Another fan asked: “Is he fat shaming Luke Shaw?”
The Spaniard made a total of 99 appearances for Liverpool during a five year stay at Anfield, winning the League Cup in 2012 under the guidance of club legend, Sir Kenny Dalglish.
