The Frenchman, naturally, hailed Real's iconic home as the No.1 stadium in the world.
“The [Santiago] Bernabeu is top, top, top,” he told the club's YouTube channel in September 2024.
“For me, the Bernabeu is number one. The people, stadium, everything, the history that the club [Real Madrid] has, the best."

“Liverpool,” he said. “I also remember Manchester United.
"We played some impressive matches against them [at Old Trafford].”

Zidane never played club football at Anfield, but he did feature during France’s penalty shootout victory against the Netherlands in the quarter-finals of Euro 1996. ‘Zizou’ scored Les Bleus’ first penalty of the shootout.

He featured when Man United beat Real 4-3 in a thrilling Champions League tie in April 2003.
