Arne Slot was challenged to reinvigorate three players after taking over from Jurgen Klopp as Liverpool head coach last year.
The Reds secured their second title of the Premier League era with a thumping win over Tottenham Hotspur at Anfield on Sunday.
As the post-match celebrations cranked into gear, Slot spoke to Sky Sports and credited the work done by Klopp in leaving him a platform on which to build.

Slot made some changes, putting his own stamp on the way Liverpool prepare and play as well as integrating his approach with the thinking of Fenway Sports Group, Liverpool's owners, and sporting director Richard Hughes.
Hughes joined Slot on the pitch at Anfield after Sunday's match and some of the discussions between the two were outlined by James Pearce of The Athletic.
Continuity has often been acknowledged as part of Slot's magic this season. Major surgery in the transfer market was not required even after the Reds finished a distant third in Klopp's final year.

"Hughes and Slot were on the same page regarding transfers," writes Pearce.
"Despite the clamour outside the club for new faces, Slot was more excited about the talent already on board and convinced that significant improvement would largely come from within.
"He set about reinvigorating players such as Ibrahima Konate, [Dominik] Szoboszlai and Luis Diaz, who had lost their way towards the end of Klopp’s reign when Liverpool’s 2023-24 title challenge wilted."
Konate, Szoboszlai and Diaz have all proven their worth in a Liverpool shirt.

Defender Konate joined the club from RB Leipzig in 2021 and has been an able partner for Virgil van Dijk.
Szoboszlai was brought in for big money and suffered some niggling injuries at the end of last season but has had a telling impact under Slot this term.

With 12 goals, Diaz is coming to the end of his best Premier League season by far in front of goal.

Pearce reveals that Hughes and Slot were in agreement that panic buys were not the way forward.
"With Slot wanting a technically gifted No 6 who could operate in tight spaces and pick the right pass under pressure rather than a ‘destroyer’ to break up play, there was a dearth of suitable alternatives available on the market," continues the Liverpool correspondent.
"They were offered Paris Saint-Germain’s Manuel Ugarte, who subsequently joined Manchester United, but they had no interest in him.
"Slot’s solution was to put his faith in Ryan Gravenberch to shine in a deeper role, having seen him perform there for Feyenoord’s Dutch rivals Ajax as a teenager."

That was another good call, one of many on the way to Liverpool's 20th league title.
