West Ham have issued a second statement on Michail Antonio after he was involved in a car crash, confirming he is now conscious and communicating.

On Saturday, an image circulated showing a Ferrari completely smashed in woodland and it was soon speculated by fans online that Antonio had been involved in an incident.

Shortly after, West Ham confirmed their No.9 was involved in an accident in the afternoon and said he had their "thoughts and prayers" as fans poured in with well wishes for a speedy recovery.

The club said they would inform fans of any developments in his situation and have now confirmed a positive update that Antonio is in a stable condition in a hospital in central London.
