Footage showing Virgil van Dijk and Joshua Zirkzee ahead of the Netherlands’ match against Bosnia and Herzegovina has got fans talking.
On Saturday night, the Netherlands welcomed Bosnia to the Philips Stadion in Eindhoven for a UEFA Nations League clash.
Ronald Koeman’s side came away 5-2 winners thanks to goals from Zirkzee, Tijani Reijnders, Cody Gakpo, Wout Weghorst and Xavi Simons. Ermedin Demirovic and Edin Dzeko were the scorers for the visitors.
A couple of days after the match, footage from inside the tunnel ahead of kick-off emerged and fans were quick to point out what happened between Van Dijk and Zirkzee.

As the Liverpool man walked out, he greeted teammates like Denzel Dumfries, Bart Verbruggen and Nathan Ake.
It was then spotted by fans that Van Dijk appeared to walk straight past Zirkzee before sharing a handshake with Jerdy Schouten.
The footage also showed no interaction between Van Dijk and Xavi Simons.
However, it could be that Van Dijk had already embraced Zirkzee and Simons before walking out of the dressing room.

Meanwhile, Van Dijk has outlined his plans to go to another World Cup, he said: “I want to play another World Cup. I know I am still more than good enough. I am the captain of Liverpool, a consistent factor and I feel excellent physicially while I am improving on the ball too.”
