Trent Alexander-Arnold spoke with great maturity after scoring England's winning penalty in their shootout victory against Switzerland at Euro 2024.
Despite Gareth Southgate operating with wing-backs, he snubbed Alexander-Arnold of a starting spot, opting for Kieran Trippier on the left while Bukaya Saka was employed on the right.
But the Liverpool star entered the fray in extra-time and was tasked with taking the fifth spot-kick in the penalty shootout.

Speaking after the result, Alexander-Arnold gave a brilliant post-match interview, having started the game on the bench.
"Incredible. These are the goals we set for ourselves. The team showed a lot of character, belief, heart and spirit, dug deep when it mattered most," he said on the BBC.
