Jamie Redknapp brutally dismantled Tottenham Hotspur after their Premier League defeat against Manchester City.
On Tuesday night, Ange Postecoglou’s men welcomed City to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium looking to keep their hopes of Champions League football alive.
However, two goals from Erling Haaland sealed a 2-0 victory for the visitors, putting them on the brink of a fourth consecutive Premier League title.
Heading into the match, Spurs fans were at a crossroads as their Champions League hopes rested on the team winning but if they had won, their local rivals Arsenal would have been in pole position to win the league.

Speaking after the match, former Spurs and Liverpool midfielder Redknapp spoke about the mentality of his former club after listening to Postecoglou's post-match interview.
He said on Sky Sports: “It’s not been easy listening to what’s been going on and people questioning whether Spurs winning the game. But they had the Champions League, if they had won today and they win on Sunday there was a chance of Champions League football at this club.
“But the people were more interested in stopping Arsenal from winning the title and that mentality and I 100% agree with him(Postecoglou). That’s the culture that has been created for a long while at this club. I was here, I didn’t ever feel it was a winning mentality. You can’t always win but sometimes you can make sure you try.”

Redknapp continued: “Two years ago, I remember being in that box up there and Arsenal they lost here to Tottenham, they bullied them that night.
“And if you’d said to me that two years after, Arsenal are contending to win the title, I would’ve been ‘I can’t quite see that’. But what Arsenal has done as a club, they’ve backed their manager, they’ve bought him players that are ready to win titles. ‘What do we need?’, what need Declan Rice, let’s bring him in. They tried buying Mudryk for 100 million, they ended up getting Trossard.
“But challenging to win, to get players, to take the club to the next level. And that’s the mentality of Arsenal that Tottenham haven’t got. They’ve got the most beautiful stadium but the team have to match that. They lost Harry Kane, they should have kept him. It comes from the top here and I have to be careful because I’ve often said about Manchester United and the Glazers, but they’ve always backed the team with the players, whereas here I don’t think it’s the case.”
