With 56 minutes on the clock, Madrid star Brahim Diaz scored a stunning solo goal to give his team a 1-0 lead.
The goal by Diaz proved to be the winner as the Spanish La Liga giants take a narrow lead back to the Bernabeu.
During the second, an incident left Kroos absolutely furious.

After Diaz pulled up injured, Leipzig played on as striker Benjamin Sesko was denied an equaliser by a brilliant Andriy Lunin save.
On the back of the incident, Kroos was seen pushing Leipzig midfielder Amadou Haidara as the German had to be restrained by the referee.
Reacting on social media, one fan said: “Actually so embarrassing that Leipzig didn’t put the ball out of play when Brahim pulled his hamstring. Brahim literally had possession of the ball and stopped. No wonder, even the most emotionless player Toni Kroos was furious.”
Another tweeted: “I have never SEEN Toni Kroos this MAD.”

A fifth commented: “It’s mainly the ref’s fault. Brahim was fouled multiple times in front of his face and when Brahim signalled for him to stop because he was literally kicked at the ref just went on and let the match continue.”
Another fan said: “Have never seen Toni Kroos get angry.”
Madrid will be back in La Liga action this weekend when they take on Rayo Vallecano on Sunday afternoon.
