Rebekah Vardy fires brutal dig after Coleen Rooney row mocked minutes into first I'm A Celeb episode

Coleen Rooney has entered the Australian jungle for this year's I'm A Celeb.

Rebekah Vardy has hit back on social media after her 'Wagatha Christie' row with Coleen Rooney was mocked during the first episode of I'm A Celeb.

On Sunday night, the popular ITV show made its return with yet another star-studded line-up, joining Coleen were the likes of ex-boxing champion Barry McGuigan, McFly singer Danny Jones and former X-Factor judge Tulisa Contostavlos.

During the first episode, the row between Mrs Vardy and Mrs Rooney was brought up very quickly after BBC Radio 1 presenter Dean McCullough said to Coleen: "Wagatha Christie, you're coming with me!", when selecting her as his partner for a challenge.

Apart from that moment, hosts Ant and Dec also made several jokes about the court case, including: "It’ll be nice for Coleen to face a trial that doesn’t involve Rebekah Vardy." Ant then added: "There will be plenty more [of these jokes]!"

In response to the jibes, Rebekah posted a picture of herself during her own stint in the jungle, with a caption that read: "That feeling when you are living rent free in people's heads [laughing emojis]."

She then shared a video of Donald Trump talking about dealing with hate.

In the footage, the soon to be President of the United States said: "Let them doubt you, let them criticise you because the more they throw at you the stronger you become. The path to success is never without resistance and hate. Hate is just a part of that journey.

"Understand this, no one who ever achieved anything great did it without facing opposition. Hate comes from a place of fear, insecurity and jealousy. People hate because your ambition, your drive makes them uncomfortable. Your desire to push past limits threatens the comfort they built around mediocrity."

Trump continued: "So what should you do? Let them hate. Let their word be nothing more than background noise. You weren't put here to see their approval. You're not living your life to make them feel comfortable.

"You're here to follow your purpose, to chase your dreams and to live life on your own terms, you're beautiful."

Speaking about Coleen's appearance on I'm A Celeb, Rebekah said to The Sun: "We’ll be watching avidly. Everyone seems to think I have this massive problem with Coleen going into the jungle. But do you know what? If you want to fan the fire, the flames are going to get higher.

"I wasn’t going to carry on talking about this, I had no intention of talking about it, but she clearly can’t let it go."

She added: "She’s following in my footsteps. I think she always wanted my life."
