However, it has now been claimed that the iconic name is set to be changed.
As reported by Spanish news outlet Marca, Madrid's home ground will now simply be known as The Bernabeu, dropping 'Santiago'.
It has been suggested that the name change has been done for commercial reasons. In recent years, the stadium has undergone a stunning refurbishment which further cemented it as one of the best in world football.
Since 1955, Madrid's home ground has used the Santiago Bernabeu name.
