What Real Madrid president Florentino Perez said to Luka Modric after the thrashing by Barcelona was picked up by TV cameras.
On Sunday night, the second El Clasico of the 24/25 season took place at the King Abdullah Sports City in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia as Madrid and Barcelona battled for the Supercopa de Espana.
Madrid took the lead inside five minutes thanks to Kylian Mbappe but found themselves 4-1 down at half-time due to goals from Lamine Yamal, Robert Lewandowski, Raphinha and Alejandro Balde.

In the second half, Raphinha scored again to make it 5-1 before Rodrygo scored a consolation in the 60th minute.
In the end, Barcelona were the ones lifting the trophy as they secured a massive 5-2 win.
After the match, during the trophy presentation, Madrid president Perez spoke to Modric and the conversation was picked up by the TV coverage.

Perez appeared to say to Modric: "Sometimes we have to lose a final, don't we?"

Meanwhile, Modric said after the match: "This is football and in football there are victories and defeats. We've lost this time. It's never nice to lose, but if you have to choose a defeat, it's better in the Super Cup.
"We have to congratulate Barcelona, because they have been better and smart."
Los Blancos boss Carlo Ancelotti was far from impressed with his team's performance.

The Italian said: "We have to look at the reality. We didn't defend well.We tried to press high and defend with a low block. They scored the goals easily, and we didn't work hard, collectively or individually.
"We lost a lot of duels. That makes us sad and disappointed, but that's football. We have to take that sadness home. I understand the sadness of our fans. We feel that, but we have to look forward, and prepare for the next game, and recover the good form we'd been in."
Madrid will be back in action on Thursday night when they take on Celta Vigo in the Copa del Rey.
