Former Wolves and Nottingham Forest forward Rafa Mir has been arrested on suspicion of sexual assault, his current club Valencia have confirmed.
Spanish outlet Cadena SAR first reported that Mir, 27, had been arrested by Spanish Civil Guard officers on Monday night over an alleged sexual assault.
Mir did not attend training with Valencia on Monday, with the report adding that he was transferred to the Valencia Civil Guard headquarters to make a statement before a judge.

In a statement, Valencia said it was 'aware' of the arrest (via Reuters) and that it will co-operate with the justice system.
A Civil Guard spokesperson, meanwhile, confirmed to Reuters that a La Liga player had been detained in Valencia for an alleged sexual assault against one woman. The name of the player was not disclosed.
Reuters attempted to contact Mir's representatives but could not reach them.
The 27-year-old, who was born in Cartagena, came through Valencia's youth system before making two La Liga appearances for them.

He was part of Wolves' significant spending spree when they were back in the Championship, with Wanderers spending £2 million to bring him to Molineux in 2018.
Mir was due to be part of Wolves' squad ahead of their first season back in the Premier League, but was loaned out to Spain.
He then had an unsuccessful temporary stint at Nottingham Forest where he failed to score in 11 Championship appearances.

But he then scored 22 goals in 56 appearances across 18 months on loan with Huesca, convincing Sevilla to spend a fee of up to €16 million to sign him permanently from Wolves.
After three seasons in Seville, he rejoined Valencia in the summer on a season-long loan deal this summer with a buyout clause of €5 million.
Mir started his side's first three games of the La Liga season, including a 2-1 defeat to Barcelona, before a cameo as a substitute in the 1-1 draw against Villarreal on Saturday.
