Jamie Carragher slammed Everton's social media post in the aftermath of the Toffees' goalless draw against Newcastle.
Sean Dyche's side picked up a point in a goalless draw against the Magpies at Goodison Park.
The Toffees have had a dismal start to the new Premier League season, but have now strung together a run of results and are three games unbeaten on the bounce, leaving them with five points.

In the game, former Everton star Anthony Gordon saw his penalty saved in the first half by England team-mate Jordan Pickford as the spoils were shared.
Gordon came through the youth team ranks at the Toffees before joining Newcastle in an initial £40m move in January 2023.
When Gordon departed Everton, the Merseyside club made it clear there was no love lost over his departure and after he submitted a transfer request as the statement confirming he had moved to the North East - in which clubs often include wishing players well for the future and thanking them for their contributions - were notably absent.

The statement read: "Anthony Gordon has joined Newcastle United for an undisclosed fee.
"The 21-year-old forward leaves Everton after having submitted a formal transfer request.
"Gordon joined the Club’s Academy at the age of 11 and made his senior debut as a 16-year-old in a Europa League tie in December 2017. He went on to make 78 First-Team appearances, scoring seven goals."

Following Gordon missing the penalty against his old club, Everton's official X account brutally trolled their former player by posting a video with a comical buzzer noise added onto the moment the attacker missed his spot kick.
Liverpool legend Carragher grew up an Everton fan before switching his allegiance to the red half of Merseyside.
The now Sky Sports pundit and Anfield legend has taken a dim view of Everton mocking one of their former academy products who they obtained a decent sized transfer fee for and had legitimate reasons for wanted to move on to pastures new as he slammed the post.
Taking to social media, Carragher said: "Local lad who came through your academy, helped keep you up under Lampard, wanted out because the club was a shambles on & off the pitch & who you then sold for 40M.
