Sir Jim Ratcliffe reportedly received a round of applause from Manchester United staff after addressing them for the first time.
Last month, it was announced that British billionaire and INEOS boss Ratcliffe had agreed a deal to buy a 25 per cent stake in the Old Trafford club.
It has been reported that Ratcliffe and his team will head up the football operations whilst the Glazers deal with the commercial side.
After being spotted arriving at Old Trafford this week to meet the rest of the staff at the club, it has been reported that Ratcliffe made a good impression.

According to The Athletic, Ratcliffe addressed an audience of employees during an all-hands meeting on Thursday and drew applause with sources praising the billionaire’s honesty.
The report also outlined five promises that Ratcliffe pledged during the meeting.
Ratcliffe, born in Failsworth, insisted that he wants sporting success over making a profit on the money he spent on buying a stake at the club.
In addition, the 71-year-old has vowed to improve the infrastructure within the club, including the ageing Old Trafford and the Red Devils’ Carrington training complex.

The INEOS team, including Ratcliffe and Dave Brailsford, have declared that they will be present at the club alongside fellow board members Jean-Claude Blanc and Rob Nevin.
Ratcliffe also spoke about the club’s recent failures and outlined his determination to make the standards better.

Lastly, although the INEOS team’s communication will be limited until the deal is officially confirmed by the Premier League, they have pledged to speak about their plans for the club in more detail when the time comes.
Manager Erik ten Hag reportedly held talks with Ratcliffe and his team on Wednesday, the United boss said: “Many hours we sit together, many issues we were on the same page. Was a very constructive meeting, we look forward to working with each other.
“They have good ideas, we have to see what we can integrate, in togetherness we can work, but after one day you can’t tell that.”
