Ferguson will go down as one of the greatest managers in the history of football after leading United to 13 Premier League titles, five FA Cups, four League Cups and two Champions Leagues during his 26-year tenure.
Speaking after the final, current Red Devils boss Ten Hag said: “Football is about winning trophies at the end of the day. I want to play the best football, attacking football, dynamic football. But in the end, you have to win games and trophies.
“That is the mentality we brought in and we had only one opportunity this season, in the FA Cup. I am very proud of the players and the staff because they did a fantastic job.”

He added: “I am proud as well, firstly of the players and the staff. The fans for the whole season, I remember at Crystal Palace a few weeks ago we were bad and they still backed us, they are incredible. I said after Brighton last week we have the best fans in the world.”
Now, it remains to be seen whether the Dutchman will be in the dugout at Old Trafford when the 24/25 season gets underway.
