Reports in Portugal suggest Ruben Amorim has been 'confronted' by members of the Sporting CP first team following the news he is expected to take over at Old Trafford.

Following the game, Amiron addressed the situation in his post-match press conference but claimed no decision had been made at this stage.
"Nothing is decided yet... I don't know if it's the farewell game or not," he told reporters.
"I have nothing more to say, we are analysing the game and anything I say will only create more noise. There is nothing concrete..."
Sporting's players are reportedly unhappy with their manager according to A BOLA, some players 'confronted' their manager ahead of their game with Madeira.

Amorim was reportedly key in keeping them at the club, making his mid-season exit particularly frustrating.
It isn't just the players who are unhappy with Amorim, as Jaime Marta Soares, the former chairman of Sporting's General Assembly, has slammed Amiron for his decision.
"[Ruben Amorim's] attitude and personality seemed like one thing, but that fell apart from one moment to the next. His love, passion, and dedication to Sporting were just fantasy situations," Soares told Radio Renascenca.

"He was the one who created an environment with an entire Sporting fanatic nation around him, who adored and respected him. He shouldn't have spat in the plate that gave him his soup."
"I'm a fan of Ruben Amorim, but there are things that shouldn't be allowed. It was at Sporting that he made his name," he continued.
"If he hadn't let himself get caught up in the dream of making millions, and since he was adored by Sporting fans, he should have thought about leaving through the big door and not this way. Sporting fans will certainly react."
