Ruben Amorim promotes four Man Utd wonderkids to first-team for Arsenal clash as £500k signing recalled

The United boss has made some big calls ahead of the FA Cup match.

Ruben Amorim has reportedly promoted four Manchester United youth players ahead of their upcoming match against Arsenal.

On Sunday, United travel to the Emirates for a thrilling FA Cup third round clash with Arsenal.

United manager Amorim will be hoping that his side can capitalise on a good performance during the 2-2 draw with Liverpool in the Premier League last week.

And in to keep his side on their toes, he has reportedly brought four talented young players into the team ahead of the match.

In the build-up to Sunday's game, Amorim decided to introduce youngsters Jack Moorhouse, Tyler Fredricson, Godwill Kukonki and Elyh Harrison to team training at Carrington.

The four academy stars were brought in to prepare for the match alongside several of the club's regular first-team starters, with Marcus Rashford the only notable absentee amid links that he is set to leave the club in the coming weeks.

After being recalled from his loan spell with National League North side Chester, 18-year-old goalkeeper Harrison was spotted training alongside Andre Onana, Altay Bayindir and Tom Heaton as United want to spend more time with the youngster to prepare themselves for the potential departure of Bayindir later this month.

Meanwhile 19-year-old midfielder Moorhouse has been rewarded with a chance to impress Amorim after securing a nomination for the Premier League 2 player of the month award in December while playing for the club's under-21s.

Kukonki, 16, and Fredricson,19, have also been mostly involved with the Under 21s side, with Fredricson leading the team as captain.

Both have previously been involved in senior matches under Amorim, with Kukonk, who was recently named on the United bench for the matches against Arsenal and Newcastle United, viewed as a player who could be important for the club in the future.

It is not yet known if any of the four academy players will be named in the squad for Sunday's match, but their inclusion in training this week shows that United fans can expect to see them break through in the near future.
