Manchester United legend Roy Keane had already made up his mind about Marcus Rashford prior to the Englishman's major bombshell regarding his future.
On Tuesday night, Rashford stated that he is 'ready for a new challenge' during an interview with journalist Henry Winter.
Speculation surrounding Rashford's future increased this week after he was left out of United's matchday squad for the derby against Manchester City.

Ruben Amorim took the brave decision to leave out both Rashford and Alejandro Garnacho but United still managed to beat City 2-1.
Speaking to Winter, Rashford said: "For me, personally, I think I'm ready for a new challenge and the next steps.
"When I leave it's going to be ‘no hard feelings’. You’re not going to have any negative comments from me about Manchester United. That’s me as a person."

On the back of Rashford's admission, Keane's comments from before the Manchester derby have re-emerged.
What did Roy Keane say about Marcus Rashford?
Irishman Keane had already suggested Rashford could leave United as he questioned his attitude during the post-match discussion on Sky Sports.
He said: "It doesn’t look good for him. A move for Marcus would suit the player – a new challenge for him.

"He’s been there a long time. When you’re at a big club and your attitude is not right – and it hasn’t been great recently – sometimes it’s good to part ways. He [Amorim] has obviously seen something he doesn’t like."
United boss Amorim was also asked about Rashford during his post-match press conference ahead of their Carabao Cup clash against Tottenham Hotspur.
He said: "We are better with Marcus Rashford, that is simple and we will try different things to push Marcus to the best levels he showed in the past.

"This kind of club needs big talent and he’s a big talent, so he just needs to perform at the highest level... I just want to help Marcus. He is right. We have here a new challenge, the biggest in football, we are in a difficult situation. I hope all my players are ready."
