Manchester United legend Paul Scholes has delivered a brutal and honest assessment of the Marcus Rashford situation.
After being left out of Ruben Amorim's squad to face Manchester City last month, Rashford expressed his desire to leave Old Trafford and seek a new challenge.
So far in the January transfer window, the 27-year-old has been linked with the likes of Borussia Dortmund, AC Milan, Tottenham Hotspur and West Ham United.

However, with just under a week left in the window, a move is yet to materialise as Rashford continues to be left out by Amorim.
Speaking during the latest episode of The Overlap's Fan Debate, former United man Scholes pulled no punches as he dissected the Rashford situation.
Paul Scholes wades in on Marcus Rashford's Manchester United future
He began: "I think Marcus has let a lot of people down with his attitude and I think that's what the manager is trying to say. You think of the young players coming through and think of Garnacho.

"They're looking up to people like Marcus now and he's 27, he's clearly not training properly and not living his life properly. They're the examples these people should look at."
Scholes continued: "I remember when I told the manager [Sir Alex Ferguson] I didn't want to play against Arsenal in the cup. In the meeting afterwards, I thought I was going to get a b********* here, but he said to me 'the worst thing you did was let your teammates down' and that stuck with me.
"I wasn't really thinking about that and now I think Marcus Rashford is doing the exact same. Ok, he's not refusing to play, but the way he is behaving and the way he's training...

"In a way, he's saying he doesn't want to be involved with the team and the fact he's letting his teammates down, he should be banished from the dressing room. If he’s in and around that and young people are seeing him as an example, the sooner he’s gone the better."
In total, Rashford has so far racked up 426 appearances for United, scoring 138 goals.
