Manchester United's stance on signing Paul Pogba has been revealed after Rio Ferdinand urged Ruben Amorim to bring back the Frenchman.
Frenchman Pogba is currently on the lookout for a new club as he bids to reignite his career.
The 31-year-old was banned after testing positive for DHEA (dehydroepiandrosterone) - a compound which promotes the production of hormones in the body including testosterone.

Pogba was originally banned for four years but it was then reduced to 18 months.
In November, Juventus decided to terminate his contract, making him a free agent.
Over the last few weeks, the midfielder has been linked with clubs in Saudi Arabia, Major League Soccer and even the Premier League.

However, no decision has so far been made on his immediate future, with him able to return to the field in March.
Speaking recently about Pogba, former United man Ferdinand said he would welcome another return.
He said on his YouTube channel: "Pogba at United? I’d go come in and train with us and let’s see what you’ve got. I’d do that. I would’ve done that already. I’d say come in and get fit and let’s have a little look."

However, it has been claimed that United have no plans to bring the midfielder back for a third stint.

As reported by The Athletic, Pogba's representatives and United's technical director Jason Wilcox have a good relationship, but there were no talks over a third spell at United.
The report said: "Though those representing Pogba have a good relationship with Wilcox from his time at Manchester City’s academy, there were no talks about a third spell at Old Trafford, however. Pogba has been concentrating on getting fit on his own terms before his suspension is finished in March."
Speaking in December, former United striker Louis Saha also spoke about the possibility of Pogba making a shock return to the Premier League.
He told Casino Utan Spelpaus: "When I look at Pogba, I think that many teams in the Premier League would find signing him as a free agent an attractive proposition.

"Forget about the salary, I’m sure Paul is ready to find a compromise on that as he wants to play football again after such a long time on the sidelines."
