Manchester United could delay their decision regarding Mason Greenwood's future until the September international break.
That's according to The Athletic, who claim there could be no resolution until the September international break as the club want to explain the investigation to key stakeholders.
The 21-year-old has been under an internal investigation from Man United since February after all charges against him were dropped following the 'withdrawal of key witnesses'.

Greenwood faced one count of attempted rape, one count of controlling and coercive behaviour and one count of assault occasioning actual bodily harm.
He denied all of the alleged offences.
Man United wanted to make the decision on their forward before the start of the 2023/24 Premier League season.
But they now want more time explain the findings of their internal investigation with key stakeholders.

Man United also intend to consult the women's team players who are at the Women's World Cup.
Mary Earps, Ella Toone and Katie Zelem remain in Australia for the World Cup as the Lionesses face Australia in the semi-finals on Wednesday.
Greenwood has not played for the Red Devils since the 2021/22 season.

The player, who graduated from the club's youth academy, has scored 35 goals in 129 appearances during his spell at Old Trafford.
He bagged six goals in all competitions in the 2021/22 campaign, having netted 12 goals in all competitions the season before and scored 17 goals in all competitions in his first full term at the club.
