Mason Greenwood has reacted to his deadline day loan move to Getafe, recording a video for the club's supporters.
Last month Manchester United announced the outcome of a lengthy investigation, communicating that Greenwood would continue his playing career away from Old Trafford.
At one point it was reported that the 21-year-old was set to return to the fold at United and the wheels were very much in motion.
However there was monumental opposition to him being re-integrated, with United stating: "All those involved, including Mason, recognise the difficulties with him recommencing his career at Manchester United".

It was therefore mutually decided for him to move on and a whole host of clubs were offered the chance to sign Greenwood.
The Athletic claim Brentford, Borussia Dortmund, Italian sides AS Roma and AC Milan and clubs in the Saudi Pro League all rejected approaches.
Lazio appeared keen but couldn't reach an agreement. However, La Liga side Getafe did strike a deal to have Greenwood in their ranks, with United saying the switch "enables Greenwood to begin to rebuild his career away".

The England international has since been pictured in his new colours, holding up Getafe's blue shirt in images posted on Getafe's social media.
That was followed up by a selfie-shot video of Greenwood addressing the club's supporters and commenting, "Hi Getafe fans, Mason here, I'm so happy to be here and I can't wait to get started."
Greenwood is to wear the No.12 shirt at Getafe, who lost 2-1 to rivals Real Madrid courtesy of a last-gasp Jude Bellingham winner at the weekend.

The forward has not featured since a 1-0 United win over West Ham in January 2022 and Getafe do have the option to cut short the loan thanks to a break clause.
The signing has attracted widespread criticism across the board, though manager Jose Bordalez has defended the decision to bring Greenwood in.
"It is a very delicate situation to trivialise that issue," Bordalas stated.

"Everyone knows what happened and appropriate measures were taken. Everyone knows how it ended, with a non-convictory sentence.
"He is a footballer of a very high level and arrives at Getafe with enormous enthusiasm."
