It was an unexpected result, with several first-team stars featuring for United in the match.
Marcus Rashford, Casemiro, Mason Mount and Jonny Evans all played in the game alongside a number of the club's youngsters.
A post made about Rashford during the game from United's official account prompted a reaction from fans after the final whistle.
The clip showed Rashford controlling a cross-field ball with his chest and playing it past an opposing defender, before he is tackled – with the ball going out of play.

While a fourth posted: "Please delete this you are embarrassing him."
Ten Hag called out his players for their performance after the match, insisting that their fitness levels were not a valid excuse for the result.

"The result is not secondary. Our performance as a team is by far not good enough," he said.
"This is not the standard for top football. We can't be match fit at this moment. They have a much higher fitness level but we are Manchester United we must perform better."
United continue their preparations with a match against Rangers at Murrayfield on Saturday before they travel to the United States for their pre-season tour starting with a game against Arsenal on July 28.
