Why Marcus Rashford has bought car worth £200,000 that he can't even drive

Why Marcus Rashford has bought car worth £200,000 that he can't even drive

Marcus Rashford was handed a six-month driving ban back in July.

Manchester United forward Marcus Rashford has purchased a brand-new supercar despite currently being banned from driving.

Rashford, 26, was prevented from driving back in July after he was caught speeding on the M60 in Manchester.

The England international was fined £1,666 for driving in excess of 100mph in his £560,000 Rolls-Royce Cullinan Blue Shadow.

Not expected to be allowed back on the roads until January next year, Rashford has spent £200,000 on a new piece of kit to help chauffeur him to training.

According to The Sun, he has now added a Bentley Flying Spur Azure so he can be ferried to training in comfort.

The luxury whip boasts a V8, four-litre, twin-turbo engine with 550 horsepower and is designed for passenger privileges.

An extended wheelbase means the car has more space inside for backseat riders to kick back and relax.

The rear seats are equipped with actual pillows for additional comfort and Rashford can also watch Netflix on monitors mounted on the back of the front seats.

Already boasting an impressive collection of cars, the Man Utd star's latest purchase further backs up his passion for high-class automobiles.

The 27-year-old has two Lamborghinis and a £360,000 McLaren 765 Long Tail, but is thought to boast an additional 6-8 cars too.

Rashford has made an impressive start to the new season, having netted three in goals in his last three games.

He was dropped by Man Utd boss Erik ten Hag on Saturday, despite featuring late on in the 0-0 draw against Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park.

Following his strike against Southampton just over a week ago, Ten Hag backed Rashford to keep the goals coming this season.

"It's very important we don't pay attention to what the outside world is saying but there was too much negativity to him," said the former Ajax manager.

"He created two great chances in that game [the defeat to Liverpool], in other games this season he has played very well.

"He deserved that goal [against Southampton] but he had to work for it. That is what he is doing and then you get a reward."
