Scott McTominay has been given a new nickname by Napoli after scoring against a former Manchester United teammate's club on Saturday.
McTominay, 28, left United for Napoli in the summer of 2024 for a reported £25.7m – as per BBC Sport - having previously spent his entire career at the Premier League club.
So far, his time in Naples has been successful, having made 18 appearances for Antonio Conte’s side with a respectable return of five goals and three assists, which have helped the 2022/23 champions to the first place in the Italian top flight.
On Saturday, the Gil Azzurri put in yet another impressive performance at the Artemio Franchi Stadium.

David Neres, McTominay and his former United teammate Romelu Lukaku got on the scoresheet in a 3-0 win over Fiorentina.
While another ex-United star, David de Gea, was on the wrong end of the result in Florence.
And it appears that the Italian giants have given the Scot a new nickname after his performance.
On Saturday evening, Napoli’s official X account posted a photograph of McTominay celebrating his goal with the caption: “Es un elisir. Scott McTominay, mi Blue Label,” translating to “Scotch McTominay, my Blue Label.”

And if you are not too familiar with alcohol-based drinks, Blue Label is a type of Whiskey which originated in McTominay’s home country of Scotland.
However, the win was overshadowed by tragedy.
After the game, Conte, 55, did not attend the press conference as a young fan who had a relationship with Conte and the Napoli team had died.

13-year-old Daniele had been ill for some time and had recently been in contact with the squad.
Midfielder Andre-Frank Zambo Anguissa even dedicated goals to him. Cristian Stellini took over press conference duties as a result.
"We're happy with the victory, but we've received a bad blow by losing a person close to all of Napoli,” said the Napoli assistant coach
“A little child who left us this afternoon, he was ill, we tried to give him moments of joy, he gave us so much strength and energy. The coach didn't feel like coming at this difficult time, our thoughts go to him and his family, as well as to all the children who suffer from these terrible diseases.”
