Ruben Amorim is thought to have already been impressed by one Manchester United player in particular – and it may not be who you’d expect.
Amorim, 39, was officially announced as the new head coach of Man United on November 1.
But he did not start in his new role until Monday, 11 November, when he was greeted by various members of the club’s hierarchy on his arrival at Carrington Training Centre.

The former Sporting Club boss gave his first official interview since taking the job on Friday, 15 November and explained how he and his squad will need “time” if they are to be successful.
He was also keen to stress the importance of “identity” at the football club as he mentioned former United bosses Sir Alex Ferguson and Sir Matt Busby.
"So, from day one, we will start with our identity," Amorim said.

"The most important thing for me at this moment is to create the principles, the identity and the character that we had in the past."
"If you work as a team, then the talent individually is going to shine," he added.
Fans will be eager to see Amorim’s first starting XI as the Red Devils travel to Portman Road, where they will face Ipswich Town on Sunday, 24 November.
United currently sit 13th in the Premier League and have so far failed to find form at the start of the season, which ultimately saw former boss Erik ten Hag lose his job at Old Trafford.

Supporters have been paying close attention to footage of first-team training as they try to guess what the first line-up under the new boss could be.
According to reports from Give Me Sport’s Dean Jones, “insiders close to the club” have explained how United winger Amad, 22, has impressed his new boss, and he could feature “prominently” in Amorim’s usual 3-4-3 formation.
The Portuguese is thought to be pleased by the player’s technical ability and work rate off the ball – which could mean he becomes a key member of the United team moving forward.
