The rumours surrounding Manchester United and possible managerial candidate Xavi have only intensified after his wife, Nuria Cunillera, posted a picture on her Instagram story.
Last week, it was reported that intermediaries from United made contact with Xavi regarding the manager's job, as a four-man delegation led by chief executive Omar Berrada flew out to Barcelona on October 17.
Xavi is currently a free agent after he parted ways with Barcelona at the end of the 2023/24 campaign.

Erik ten Hag's future, meanwhile, continues to be a huge talking point, with Sunday's last gasp defeat to West Ham only heaping more pressure on his already uncertain status at Old Trafford.
For the time being, It seems United's decision makers will stick with Ten Hag but rumours continue to swirl around a successor, with Ruben Amorim, Thomas Frank and former Borussia Dortmund boss Edin Terzic emerging as possible targets.
Xavi is also being linked, and the Spaniard sent fans into a social media frenzy on Sunday evening after his wife shared a picture of him and his son, who was wearing a Manchester United shirt.

Although Xavi's son was wearing a kit from United's old front-of-shirt sponsor TeamViewer, fans were quick to react to the picture.
One said: "Quite possibly just a coincidence, but he is out of work. If he would take an interim role with the chance to go permanent if he does well I would back it," while a second wrote: "Give me Xavi. Anyone at the moment please."
A third commented: "Well this is timely… Xavi’s wife has posted a photo on Instagram of his son, Dan, wearing the 2023/24 Manchester United home kit ."
