Scott McTominay was visibly moved after being given a special gift from a fan as he left Old Trafford for the final time.

The 27-year-old is set to join Serie A side Napoli after they agreed a £25 million deal with Manchester United.

United had rejected an offer from Fulham for McTominay earlier on in the window but the Scotland international is poised to move to Italy after being given the green light to travel for a medical.

Academy graduate McTominay is entering the final year of his contract at United and will end a 22-year association with his boyhood club.

On Tuesday, McTominay appeared to say goodbye at the Theatre of Dreams and was spotted leaving the ground for the last time.

The midfielder exited with a wholesome parting gift though, handed to him by a fan.

United supporter Skye regularly gives out bracelets to players, including the likes of Mason Mount and Luke Shaw, who was even spotted wearing it at Euro 2024.

New signing Joshua Zirkzee got one recently and so too did McTominay, who was delighted with the accessory to "remember United".

"No way! Thank you very much, that's so sweet. I'm gonna put it on," McTominay said, before immediately placing the bracelet on his wrist and posing for a picture.

McTominay made his first-team debut in 2017 and played 255 appearances for the club, scoring 29 goals and winning both the Carabao Cup and FA Cup.

His switch to Napoli represents another key bit of business from I Partenopei, who appointed Antonio Conte as their new manager.

He will be the fourth signing of the summer but will soon be followed by out of favour Chelsea striker Romelu Lukaku, who spent the last two seasons back on loan in Serie A with Inter Milan and Roma.

Napoli are also hopeful of doing a deal for McTominay's compatriot Billy Gilmour, paying Brighton around £12.5 million for his services.
