His switch to Napoli represents another key bit of business from I Partenopei, who appointed Antonio Conte as their new manager.
He will be the fourth signing of the summer but will soon be followed by out of favour Chelsea striker Romelu Lukaku, who spent the last two seasons back on loan in Serie A with Inter Milan and Roma.
Napoli are also hopeful of doing a deal for McTominay's compatriot Billy Gilmour, paying Brighton around £12.5 million for his services.
