A damning Rasmus Hojlund stat has left Manchester United supporters in disbelief after the Red Devils lost 1-0 to Nottingham Forest.
For the eleventh Premier League game this season, United drew a blank and it was their former player Anthony Elanga scored the only goal of the game with a stunning solo strike just five minutes in.
Though United had 69% of possession and six shots on target, they were largely toothless in attack and at the start of the second half Hojlund was introduced from the bench in place of Manuel Ugarte.

But not for the first time this season, the Dane was completely ineffective and struggled to impose himself against a stern Forest backline.
The £72 million striker will have been hoping to have turned a corner when he ended his 21-game goal drought against Leicester but it hasn't happened.
And one stat in particular shows just how poor Hojlund has been this season. Harry Maguire was sent on as an emergency striker late on at the City Ground and nearly grabbed an equaliser when his scruffy effort was cleared off the line by Murillo.

Remarkably, according to the xG Philosophy on X, Maguire accumulated more xG in stoppage time than Hojlund has in his last 15 appearances.
Because of the date that the statistic was posted on, the used had to clarify that it was "not even an April Fools".

One fan on X commented: "This can’t possibly be real??"

Another replied: "Sorry, WHAT??"
A third weighed in, writing: "This says a lot about the attacking players Man Utd have right now."
A fourth added: "That's our 70m striker for you."
Hojlund has played 82 times for United since signing for Atalanta, scoring 24 goals - 13 of which have come in the Premier League.

Having lost the league double to Forest for the first time since 1992, Ruben Amorim has now just won just six games out of 19 in the Premier League since replacing Erik ten Hag as United manager in November.
Sitting 13th in the Premier League table, United will look to bounce back with the small matter of the Manchester derby against rivals City at Old Trafford on Sunday
