Two Manchester United players have liked tweets which suggest Erik ten Hag has not lost the dressing room at Old Trafford.
It has been a chastening season in the dugout for Ten Hag, with Wednesday’s 4-3 Champions League defeat in Copenhagen making it nine defeats in 17 matches this term.
Such form has led to growing pressure on the Dutchman and rumours the club are exploring the possibility of hiring Sporting’s Ruben Amorim or Real Madrid legend Zinedine Zidane as a replacement.

Paradoxically however, Ten Hag’s side did secure a much-needed 1-0 win over Luton before the international break, meaning they have now accumulated 12 points from their last five Premier League games stretching back to October 7.
Indeed, their only Premier League defeat in that time was a chastening 3-0 loss to neighbours Manchester City on October 29.
Amid the improvement in domestic results, United stars Alejandro Garnacho and Luke Shaw have both liked tweets in support of Ten Hag.
Indeed, Shaw, who signed for United back in 2014, liked a tweet on Saturday by JZthekid, inferring that United’s lack of firepower is not the fault of the manager.

The Tweet read: “Players can’t finish but it’s obviously Ten Hag’s fault right? I hate Manchester United fans.”
Shaw appears to have since ‘unliked’ the post, however.
Meanwhile, Alejandro Garnacho, who was awarded his United debut under Ten Hag, liked a thread on X insisting that Ten Hag needs time at Old Trafford.
The first Tweet of a long thread from EBL2017, posted in the wake of the club’s Champions League defeat to Copenhagen, read: “I call for patience with Erik ten Hag.

“Manchester United's tactical display last night was their *BEST* of the season. Don't let the fact that they went down to 10 men fool you otherwise.
“They were sensational with 11 men & it was ENTIRELY down to Erik ten Hag!”
