A Manchester United legend has been 'approached' to be part of Erik ten Hag's staff, according to stunning reports.
Ten Hag is planning for the 2024/25 campaign after INEOS and Sir Jim Ratcliffe decided to keep him on as Man United manager following an end-of-season review.
And, according to Fabrizio Romano, Ten Hag wants to bring Ruud van Nistelrooy back to the club.
Romano claims Van Nistelrooy has been 'approached' to be part of Ten Hag's new staff.

A decision is set to be made next week as the former Red Devils forward has been strongly linked with replacing Vincent Kompany at Burnley.
Romano added: "Changes could take place in #MUFC staff."
Burnley have spoken to Van Nistelrooy over their managerial vacancy.

His only previous role in senior management came at one of his former clubs as he managed PSV Eindhoven in the 2022/23 season. He resigned, citing a lack of support.
The Clarets, who were relegated from the Premier League last season, are hoping to lure him back to England as they look replace Kompany, who joined Bayern Munich.
But they face competition from Man United, where Van Nistelrooy enjoyed a stellar playing career.
He made 219 appearances for the club, scoring an impressive 150 across all competitions.

The Dutchman inspired Man United to Premier League glory in the 2002/03 season. He also won the FA Cup and League Cup during his time at Old Trafford.
Ten Hag's current coaching staff includes assistant managers Steve McLaren and Mitchell van der Gaag.
Benni McCarthy is also among the other coaches that make up Ten Hag's staff.
