Manchester United have ignored Bruno Fernandes’ advice by signing Rasmus Hojlund.
The Danish striker was in the UK on Tuesday having a medical with United and is set to be formally announced by the club this week.
Hojlund will move from Atalanta to United in a deal worth an initial £64million, plus £8million in performance-related add-ons.

Once completed, the 20-year-old will then sign a five-year contract with the option of a further 12 months.
United hope to have the deal formalised in time for him to play some part in one of the team’s remaining pre-season fixtures, with the club set to face Lens and Athletic Bilbao this weekend.
United were linked with a spate of strikers before opting for Hojlund, who has less than 90 senior appearances to his name.
Among the players linked was Goncalo Ramos, with his Portugal team-mate Fernandes having been keen to see the attacker make a move to Old Trafford.

In May, Fernandes insisted that Ramos had the qualities to play for United.
Speaking to Sport TV, as cited by A Bola, Fernandes said: "The best always come in handy, be it Goncalo or another player,"
"I think he has all the qualities to play in the Premier League, and when I say Premier League I also mean Manchester United.
"I think he could become a great reference in the coming years, but it's still not in my hands to be sports director."

He added: "Goncalo has all the conditions to play in the Premier League, he is very intense, presses very well and is very good inside the area. He surprised me in the national team, not only me but the rest of my teammates.
"He's physically strong, he's still young and he's going to get better.
"If he continues to work as he has been doing, I think he has the potential to be one of the best strikers in the world, but he needs to go to a more competitive league to prove it."
Paris Saint-Germain are now reportedly “closing in” on a deal to acquire the Benfica centre-forward.

According to transfer guru Fabrizio Romano, Luis Enrique's side are “very close” on a £69million deal with add-ons to sign the striker, with Ramos having agreed a contract until June 2028.
A product of Benfica's youth system, Ramos enjoyed a breakout season last term, netting 27 goals in 46 appearances for the Portuguese champions.
