Manchester United fans have heaped praise on Andre Onana for his response to criticism last season.
Onana, 27, is set to put pen to paper over a long-term deal at Old Trafford, becoming David de Gea’s replacement.
It is thought United will pay Inter Milan £47million to reunite the Cameroonian goalkeeper with former Ajax boss Erik ten Hag.

Providing an update on the situation, The Athletic's David Ornstein stated: Onana is set to sign a five-year contract and should fly to New York on Wednesday with Erik ten Hag’s squad for their pre-season tour if he completes his medical in time. He will join later if not."
Current Red Devils shot-stopper Dean Henderson has been tipped to go in the other direction, with the 26-year-old widely expected to re-join Nottingham Forest.
Onana made 41 appearances in all competitions for the Serie A side last season, inspiring Simone Inzhagi's side to the Coppa Italia and Supercoppa Italiana, not to mention their impressive run to the Champions League final.

But what has impressed United supporters most is his response to criticism.
Discussing how he deals with his critics in an interview with ESPN, Onana said: "People can say what they want, I don't care. I just do my thing, if you are angry that's your problem. If you are happy, it's your problem. So for me, it doesn't matter.
"Only take the criticism from the coaches. For the rest, they can sing, they can cry, I don't give a s**t."
And fans have taken note of his headstrong attitude, believing he will be the prefect fit for the United dressing room.

"This is definitely the attitude you need if you're going to be a United player", one fan wrote.
"Get him signed now this the attitude we need between the posts to generate from back to front", a second added.
"No excuses, I like him even more now", another exclaimed.
Please just let Onana wears the #1 shirt now ffs", a fourth pleaded.

"Put his playing ability aside, he has a great mentality and strong character. This kind of player would thrive on big occasions and the one you want to go to war with," a fifth wrote.
