Manchester United reportedly feel that they have managed to get the next Mohamed Salah after a £70 million transfer.
During the 24/25 season, Salah was a class above the rest as he finished top in both the scoring and assisting charts to fire Liverpool to the Premier League table.
The Egyptian managed to score 29 times and assist a further 18 goals during what was a stellar personal season.
On the other hand, United endured a tough season but are working around the clock to improve Ruben Amorim's squad.

So far, the Red Devils have brought in players like Matheus Cunha, Bryan Mbeumo and Diego Leon.
United are also closing in on a deal to sign RB Leipzig star Benjamin Sesko and are keeping tabs on Brighton midfielder Carlos Baleba.

On the back of snapping up Brentford star Mbeumo, who managed 20 goals and nine assists in 42 matches across all competitions last season, for a reported fee of around £70 million, United have high hopes.

According to the Daily Mail, data on Mbeumo indicates that he is the closest thing to Salah.
The report read: "They (United) also dismiss the suggestion that Mbeumo and Cunha have been signed solely to be the two No 10s Amorim needs for his 3-4-2-1 formation, arguing that they are versatile players who can operate in any system.
"The data on Mbeumo, in particular, indicated that United have signed the closest thing to Mohamed Salah without getting the Liverpool man himself."

What did Ruben Amorim say about Bryan Mbeumo?
Speaking about Mbeumo's United debut, manager Amorim said: "I think he played well. He needs to understand the position, the movements. But I think the first touch, the way he connects with one touch, opened a lot of space.

"You can see that he's not in the perfect condition physically, but he makes a lot of runs and that can stretch one team. So everything I was expecting he delivered."
United will begin their Premier League campaign nex weekend against Arsenal at Old Trafford.
