A Manchester United legend has revealed he couldn’t watch the team for two years after being forced out by Sir Alex Ferguson.
Over the years, Ferguson turned United into one of the best teams to ever grace the Premier League.
Under the guidance of the Scotsman, the Old Trafford club won everything, including 13 Premier League titles and two Champions League trophies.
Throughout the years, Ferguson has had to deal with some strong characters, including the likes of Roy Keane, David Beckham and Eric Cantona.

Back in 2003, Englishman Beckham was put up for sale after his relationship with Ferguson turned sour.
Eventually, Beckham left United to sign for Spanish La Liga side Real Madrid.
However, he has since revealed that he was left gutted by his exit and couldn’t bear to watch United.
The former England captain said, via the Daily Star: “When I joined Manchester United, I never wanted to leave them. When I was told they were selling me, that was the first time I spoke to Real Madrid.

“That was the time when I realised that my dream of continuing to play at Manchester United was over. I couldn’t watch them for two years, I was that kind of gutted.”
Beckham continued: “It was that difficult to leave and come to terms with the fact that I wasn’t there anymore. I wouldn’t be negative about Sir Alex Ferguson because he was the man that gave me the chance to live my dream.”
Speaking in his Netflix documentary, Beckham said: “All of a sudden I get a phone call to be told that Manchester United had agreed a deal, and that was the end of it.

“Even trying to speak to the manager after that, he didn’t want to talk to me. It wasn’t out of spite, he was on holiday, he didn’t want to be contacted, he’d made his decision and that was the end of it.”
