Kobbie Mainoo made an apology in his post-match interview for what he did during Manchester United's draw against Liverpool.

Bruno Fernandes, who scored from inside the centre circle, cancelled out Luis Diaz's opener before Mainoo netted a spectacular goal to put his side ahead. Mohamed Salah levelled proceedings from the spot, breaking three records in the process.

But, speaking after the game, the 18-year-old was unnecessarily apologetic for his celebration.
"Yeah, it felt good so got ahead of myself. Sorry," he told Sky Sports.
Mainoo added: "Unbelievable feeling, first professional goal at Old Trafford and to do it in this fixture is also amazing. At the end of the day, we don’t walk away with the three points so I can’t be too happy."
On the result, the star midfielder said: "Disappointed [with only a point], to be honest, because I feel like second half we performed really well. We picked it up and the lads worked really, really hard. It was minor mistakes that in the end were major. Need ironing out and we can win the game."
