Joshua Zirkzee's true feelings on his Man Utd future revealed amid rumours of shock January swap deal

Joshua Zirkzee's true feelings on his Man Utd future revealed amid rumours of shock January swap deal

The Dutch striker has failed to make his mark at United.

Joshua Zirkzee's feelings about his time at Manchester United has been revealed following rumours he could be set to leave the club in January.

On Monday, rumours began to circulate that Zirkzee could be set to leave United as soon as January in a spectacular swap deal with Napoli for star striker Victor Osimhen.

The Dutch striker joined United from Bologna in the summer for a fee of £34 million, penning a five year contract, but has failed to impress so far this season.

And now, Zirkzee's feelings towards his new club and the rumours of him leaving have reportedly been revealed amid links to another Italian side.

According to Italian outlet calciomercato, Zirkzee is very disappointed with his current situation at United, where he has struggled to find a regular place in the starting team.

Despite scoring on his debut, the 23-year-old has failed to find the net a second time across a total of 17 appearances.

And while it is said that he would see leaving Manchester as 'giving up without a fight,' he reportedly remains open to joining another club.

Napoli remains an option for Zirkzee, but his agent Kia Joorabchian could also play a role in securing a move to Juventus for his player due to his close and direct relationship with sporting director Cristiano Giuntoli.

Both Joorabchian and Giuntoli are said to have been talking for months about a potential deal for Zirkzee, which could come as soon as the January transfer window.

However, if the Dutchman is to leave in January, it is believed that he can can only do so on loan, but this is a scenario that reportedly still needs to be explored further.

For United, the deal could make sense if new manager Ruben Amorim assesses Zirkzee and continues to see him as second-choice to Rasmus Hojlund.

And for Juventus, the youngster could be the perfect replacement for Dusan Vlahovic and would likely be available for a reasonable price tag should they want to turn any future loan deal a permanent move.

Furthermore, with Zirkzee's former Bologna manager Thiago Motta the current Juventus boss, the striker could be open to a move to the Serie A giants.
