Manchester United are reportedly planning a surprise swap deal for a Brazilian starlet who has been dubbed 'the new Vinicius Jr'.
Ruben Amorim arrived in Manchester after signing a deal until 2027, joining after a successful stint with Sporting CP. Already plenty of transfers have been touted for United as they look to strengthen their squad and improve on their current position of 13th in the Premier League.
But a fresh report claims they are targeting a move for Flamengo prospect Lorran.

The 18-year-old starlet has attracted interest from plenty of Premier League clubs, but TBR Football say that United are keen and could explore the possibility of a January bid.
Lorran is described as an "explosive" player who holds the record for being the youngest scorer in Flamengo's history aged, 16 years, 6 months, and 20 days.
Vinicius was the previous holder prior to his switch to Real Madrid and he has given his blessing to Lorran, calling him a "Ball wizard" on X back in May.

Brighton, West Ham, RB Leipzig, Marseille and Atalanta are named as admirers of Lorran, who has already made 30 first-team appearances for Flamengo.
He is said to have a €50 million (£43 million) release clause in his Flamengo contract but there is the suggestion that he could be available for slightly cheaper in January.
However, the report notes that United could look to use unwanted winger Antony as part of a deal. The 24-year-old has been a major disappointment since joining from Ajax in an £86 million move and has been one of their worst ever signings in terms of value for money.

United are said to have told Antony that he can leave the club in the January window and Flamengo are one of the clubs who have expressed interest, raising the possibility of him being used as a makeweight.
Amorim's first game in charge is set to be the trip to newly promoted Ipswich Town after the international break.
