Scott McTominay was the recipient of an award create by Jose Mourinho when he was Manchester United manager.
McTominay played under four different managers during his time at United, the first being Mourinho.
He gave the Scotland international his first-team debut at the end of the 2016/2017 season, coming on as a substitute in a 2-0 loss to Arsenal.

The following campaign, McTominay played 23 times in all competitions as United finished second in the Premier League and reached the FA Cup final.
And his strides forward were recognised in a very creative way by Mourinho.
At the club's end of season awards, David de Gea picked up the Players' Player of the Year and the Sir Matt Busby Player of the Year prizes.

Yet Mourinho got up on stage and proceeded to name McTominay as his 'Manager's Player of the Year' - an award straight out of Sunday League.
McTominay was called up and presented with the surprise gong.
"The dream of every boy that arrives in the club is to play for the first team," he said.

"The next dream is to play big matches in the Champions League and to play for the national team.
"This player did everything in five or six months so my player of the year has to be Scott McTominay."
Mourinho was sacked later that year and replaced by Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, though McTominay revealed he was still in contract with the Portuguese and owes a lot to him for giving him the opportunity.

McTominay joined United at the age of five and came through the ranks before going on to make 255 appearances for his boyhood club.
His story with the Red Devils is ending though, with the 27-year-old poised to sign for Serie A side Napoli for around £25 million.
