Fans convinced Jadon Sancho aimed brutal dig at Erik ten Hag after Man Utd defeat

Fans convinced Jadon Sancho aimed brutal dig at Erik ten Hag after Man Utd defeat

United lost 3-0 to Spurs this weekend - while Sancho and Chelsea beat Brighton 4-2.

Fans are convinced that Jadon Sancho aimed a dig at Erik ten Hag after Manchester United's 3-0 defeat to Tottenham.

Sancho is currently on loan at Chelsea from United for the remainder of the season, and the Blues have an obligation to sign him permanently in the summer.

The 24-year-old had a much-publicised disagreement with Ten Hag last September over his training performances, which led to him being banished from the first team.

After spending the second half of last term on loan at Borussia Dortmund, where he reached the Champions League final, Sancho was reintegrated into the United setup after reported clear-the-air talks with Ten Hag.

But after appearing as a substitute in the Community Shield fixture against Manchester City - where he missed the decisive penalty - Sancho was not included in another matchday squad for United.

He already has three assists in three games under Enzo Maresca at Chelsea, proving to some fans that he is able to perform far better away from Old Trafford.

Just moments after United's 3-0 defeat to Tottenham, Chelsea's official Twitter account posted a photo of Sancho and Cole Palmer appearing in high spirits after their side's 4-2 win over Brighton on Saturday.

The post was then shared by Sancho - leading to some fans believing that a dig may have been taken at Ten Hag.

Speaking about Sancho earlier this month, Chelsea boss Maresca told reporters: "I know Jadon very well because I watch him many times in the past, and I know what he can give us.

"I have the feeling that Jadon is a guy who needs love. This is what I thought when I spoke with him before he joined us.

"Also, he has the desire to show the player that he is. For me, he just has to enjoy football - that's the reason why they play, because they they're happy and they want to play football. They are there to enjoy football."
