Manchester United could include Jadon Sancho in a swap deal if they struggle to sell the winger this summer.
Manchester United face a busy summer, and one of the issues that needs resolving is the future of Jadon Sancho.
The winger cost the club £73 million in the summer of 2021, but in January he left Old Trafford on loan after falling out with manager Erik ten Hag.

The 23-year-old returned to Borussia Dortmund for the remainder of the season, the club United signed him from.
Sancho's return to the Bundesliga club has not gone as well as hoped; the winger has provided just one goal and two assists in 12 outings in all competitions so far.
Despite that, Dortmund are keen to keep hold of the Englishman beyond the end of the current season, and according to German outlet Bild, are working on a 'secret' plan in order to do so.

Dortmund would like to sign Sancho on loan again next season, or failing that, sign him from United as part of a swap deal.
Dortmund sporting director Sebastian Kehl has previously ruled out signing Sancho on a permanent deal, saying: "If you know what we got for Jadon Sancho two and a half years ago, then you know also that it might now be very, very difficult.
"We naturally advocated for a [purchase] option with him, but the negotiating position was not such that we could implement it and so we will accept it for now."

If United decide to sell Sancho then they will want to recoup as much of the fee they spent on Sancho three years ago.
That said, there are a number of holes in Erik ten Hag's squad that could be filled by doing a swap deal.
United need reinforcements in central defence, full-back and in attack, and Dortmund have no shortage of talents in those positions.
Centre-back Nico Schlotterbeck and full-back Julian Ryerson would significantly reinforce United's defence, while 22-year-old attacker Karim Adeyemi can play anywhere across the front line and is one of the most exciting young talents in German football.

United's preference for a straight sale is understandable, but conducting a swap deal might not be the worst idea in the world.
