Former Manchester United stars Gary Neville and Roy Keane have blasted the club’s transfer businesses and have named the only good signing in the last 10 years.
Speaking ahead of United’s Premier League clash against Chelsea on Sunday afternoon, Neville touched on the club’s transfer dealings over the last decade when asked about what new boss Ruben Amorim has to do.
He said: “He (Amorim) has to get the best out of the players. I think the players do need to take responsibility for what’s happening, but the club have signed a lot of players that other clubs wanted, and when those players arrived at Manchester United, they’ve deteriorated. Why is that?

“Now, it could be the coach, it could be the players, it could be the environment, whatever we think it is, that’s got to change. If he doesn’t change that, he will fail like the others.
Neville continued: “Only one is Bruno Fernandes, in 10 years has signed for the club and done more than I thought he would. I can’t think of any other player, please correct me if I’m wrong.”
Keane then added: “This group of lads, they don’t dig in, if things get tough they go under. It must be a combination of everything, we go back to what happens in the training ground, the manager, the pride of the players.
“But I don’t care if you’re playing in front of 80,000 or 80 people, you run. You’ve got to run in this game and this team doesn’t run and that’s the big problem.” You can watch the full exchange below.
