Manchester City came from behind to deservedly beat Manchester United at the Etihad Stadium - and in the process end a Premier League record their rivals had.
The Manchester derby began with United taking the lead through Marcus Rashford in the early stages, who struck first time Bruno Fernandes' pass from long range a fantastic strike which went in off the bar past a diving Ederson.
Erling Haaland missed an absolute sitter just before half-time, shooting over from inside the six yard box and not finding the back of the net with a chance which neither Haaland nor boss Pep Guardiola could believe he had failed to net.
The miss meant United led at the break and it took a special strike from Phil Foden to level before the hour mark, gliding in from the right to curl home a fantastic effort past goalkeeper Andre Onana.

Foden put City ahead with 10 minutes to go, working his way into the box and stroking home a low effort past Onana to give the hosts the advantage.
And Haaland put the result beyond doubt in injury time as Rodri robbed United substitute Sofyan Amrabat of possession to feed City's talisman into the box and he duly slotted past Onana to get his goal to make amends for his earlier miss and confirm a 3-1 victory for the hosts.
City kept pace with Premier League leaders Liverpool with the victory and are now just a point behind Jurgen Klopp's side in the race for the top flight crown.

Arsenal will aim to move to within a point of City and two behind Liverpool when they travel to Bramall Lane to take on bottom club Sheffield United on Monday evening.
City not only took local bragging rights and kept firmly in the title race with the victory, but in so doing ended a United Premier League record which had stretched to 143 games.
United were leading at half-time and in the past in the top flight, that had led to the Old Trafford club not being beaten at full-time.
But with City coming from behind in the second half and inflicting defeat on United, it means that particular record has now come to an end.

This dates back to September 2014, when United beat Leicester City, and includes 123 wins and 20 draws.
It is a very impressive statistic, but it is one you suspect will stand for quite some time now, given United's current standing.
