Erling Haaland set yet another remarkable record when he scored in Manchester City's Premier League win against Brentford.
City went into Tuesday's match at the Etihad Stadium wary that failing to win could hand Liverpool the initiative in the Premier League title race.

The first 70 minutes did not pan out as Pep Guardiola would have liked; though his side dominated possession and created plenty of chances, Brentford stood firm and City couldn't find a way through.
Finally, with City fans inside the Etihad Stadium were getting restless, Haaland pounced on an unfortunate slip from Bees centre-back Kristoffer Ajer to stride through on goal unopposed and slot past Mark Flekken.
Haaland's strike low into the bottom corner was his first against Brentford, after he failed to score against Thomas Frank's side last season.

The Norwegian striker has now scored against all 22 teams he has faced in the Premier League, finding the back of the net 53 times in 55 league outings.
Haaland had a second strike chalked off for offside by VAR, but in the end his strike was enough to secure a 1-0 win for the hosts and extend their unbeaten run in the Premier League to 10 games.
Guardiola's side are now just a point behind league leaders Liverpool, who face Luton Town at Anfield on Wednesday.
City and Liverpool will meet at Anfield on Sunday March 10 in a clash that could have a huge say in where the Premier League trophy ends up in come the end of the season.
