Erik ten Hag has been given a brutal deadline to save his job at Manchester United, according to reports.

Draws at Porto and Aston Villa have just about kept Ten Hag in the job but there are still worries about his future - following on from a recent crisis board meeting.
And according to a new report from Football Insider, Ten Hag's position remains under threat, with sources stating he is "clinging on” to his job.
It's claimed that United will finally give Ten Hag the boot if the team lose their next two games.

Following the international break, the Red Devils return to action with a visit of Brentford at Old Trafford on Saturday 19 October.
They also have a huge Europa League game with a trip to Fenerbahce, managed by former United boss Jose Mourinho - who could essentially put the final nail in the coffin for Ten Hag.
United secured a spot in this season's Europa League after beating Manchester City to win the FA Cup, with the feat enough for United chiefs to persist with Ten Hag despite a disappointing eighth-place finish.

But they are still searching for a first win in Europe, having drawn with both FC Twente and Porto in the all-new league format.
Ten Hag triggered a one-year contract extension in the summer and his deal runs until 2026.
If things don't improve in the next two games, it's claimed that Ten Hag being sacked is "inevitable”.

INEOS chief and shareholder Sir Jim Ratcliffe recently spoke about the situation with Ten Hag, saying: "I like Erik. I think he's a very good coach but at the end of the day it's not my call.
"But that team that's running Manchester United has only been together since June or July. They weren't there in January, February, March or April – [CEO] Omar [Berrada], [sporting director] Dan Ashworth - they only arrived in July. "They've only been there… you can count it in weeks almost - they've not been there a long time, so they need to take stock and make some sensible decisions.”
