Erik ten Hag has been criticised by Manchester United fans for comments made after their dismal defeat by Crystal Palace.
On Monday night, the Red Devils travelled to Selhurst Park looking to keep pace with the teams ahead of them in the Premier League table.
However, United produced a horrible display as Palace completely played them off the park.

A brace from Michael Olise plus goals by Jean-Philippe Mateta and Tyrick Mitchell sealed a 4-0 victory for Oliver Glasner’s side.
After the final whistle, Ten Hag was immediately slammed by fans and the criticism didn't stop after the Dutchman gave an assessment of United's recent form. You can watch the footage below.
He said: “This is the fourth defeat in 2024 and so far, you have seen a team that is following the script.

“That’s why we didn’t have a lot of wins but we were hard to beat. Today, we were easy to beat.”
Reacting on social media, one fan said: “Ten Hag: ‘This is the fourth defeat in this calendar year, so that's not a lot and every time, we had huge problems.’ Well it's a good f***ing thing that the season started in August 2023 and not in January 2024 then, Erik. Deluded beyond belief this guy.”
Another tweeted: “Always finds a positive. What a man.”
A third fan added: “The things he says are just incredible!”

Someone else wrote: “This man is so ridiculous. Just accept that you got it wrong for once!!!!”
A fifth commented: “That’s it for Ten Hag now. He’s gotta go. You can at least select a line up that’s hard to beat. Injury excuses will only fly for so long. Arsenal on the weekend will be a massacre.”
Ten Hag was also asked if he was the right person to make United better, he said: “Absolutely. If the right players are available, we have a good squad. We miss almost the whole backline and then we have problems.

“I will keep fighting. I prepared the team in the best way I could do. It was not good enough, I have to take responsibility for that but I will find energy and prepare them for Sunday's game.”
